This quarter, we're supporting Lifeshare, a Lancashire based charity, supporting the homeless.

 

Lifeshare is Manchester's oldest homelessness charity, providing crisis services for young people, fighting food poverty with the Weekend Breakfast Project, and promoting digital inclusion with the Manchester Digital Collective. 

Lifeshare is a voluntary organisation established to help meet the needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Manchester and Salford. The first point of contact is with people on the streets, offering practical assistance, support, and information. From this point, we offer continued assistance that enables people to secure suitable accommodation, support them in maintaining their tenancies, and help them to access initiatives that carry their lives forward. They accomplish these goals in many ways; crisis services for young people aged 16-25, food provision including our Weekend Breakfast project every Saturday and Sunday from 7-9am, digital skill-building in connection with their Manchester Digital Collective, and their seven day Christmas Project to name a few. For 33 years Lifeshare has opened for seven days to provide hot meals, dry clothing, companionship, and access to medical care. This is the only 7-day provision in Manchester and it not only benefits those who are in need of support but also their volunteers.
